Abstract

China's strategic partnership with Georgia reflects its expanding interest in the South Caucasus region and aligns with its broader global policy objectives. This paper examines the implications of this partnership for both countries and the South Caucasus as a whole. Through an analysis of China's priorities in the region, the significance of strategic partnerships, and the dynamics of bilateral relations, this study sheds light on the evolving geopolitical landscape. The findings suggest that while China's engagement primarily focuses on trade and economic cooperation, it holds the potential to influence regional dynamics and contribute to the diversification of Georgia's economy. However, Georgia must carefully navigate its relationships with major powers and pursue a balanced approach to maximize the benefits of its partnership with China.
