General Characteristics of the System of Lexical Units Related to the Field of English International Law

Abstract

This article examines the general characteristics of the system of lexical units related to the field of English international law. The authors determined that the mutual influence of legal forms of different countries unifies legal terminology and deepens the development of the borrowing process. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of using its results when working with a legal text and its translation, as well as when drawing up legal documents. In addition, the results of the work can become a starting point for conducting research on the ambiguity of socio-political vocabulary, which is closely intertwined with the language of law.
