Problems and Prospects of Employment of Minors in the Modern World

This article discusses the current problem of youth unemployment as the main aspect of the modern labor market. The author emphasizes its deterioration in 2022, designating a global shortage of 473 million jobs, which is 12.3% of the total workforce. The deficit is particularly high among women and in developing countries. The article also draws attention to the factors influencing people's willingness to start work, including personal and family responsibilities, as well as the availability of vocational training. In low-income and lower-middle-income countries, the shortage of jobs is particularly high. The article also draws attention to the problem of child labor, describing its forms and consequences. She cites the ILO Conventions on the minimum age for employment and the worst forms of child labour. Further, the author highlights the reasons for employers' refusal of the services of young professionals and mentions programs of state support for youth aimed at solving employment problems. In addition, this article highlights the importance of improving labor legislation in relation to minors, noting the positive impact of this on the development of the country and the reduction of crime. In conclusion, the author calls for the study of international experience in the fight against unemployment and the improvement of legislation in the field of employment and regulation of labor relations to ensure future development and prosperity.
