Abstract

Today, the country has five UNESCO World Heritage Sites, out of which four are situated on the Silk Road. Many of Uzbekistan's famous landmarks are on and around the Silk Road. Uzbekistan offers many opportunities to explore the history of the Silk Road, as it has been a major part of it for many years.
