Abstract

Personality, a central facet of human identity, is shaped by a complex interplay of conceptual frameworks and cognitive dimensions. This article explores the foundational theories and frameworks that psychologists use to study personality, including trait theories, psychodynamic theories, humanistic theories, and cognitive theories. It delves into how these conceptual frameworks provide a basis for understanding personality traits and patterns. Additionally, the article examines cognitive dimensions such as cognitive styles, perceptual filters, attributional styles, and cognitive biases, which influence how individuals perceive, interpret, and respond to their environment.
