Abstract

This article discusses the activities of the Supreme Court in the post-World War II years. The author provides a good overview of how the extraordinary wartime procedures were gradually abolished, the death penalty was repealed, and how the Supreme Soviet of the Uzbek SSR adopted the Criminal Code, Criminal Procedure Code, Civil Code, Civil Procedure Code, and the Law of the Uzbek SSR "On the Judicial System," with court cases being examined in accordance with these laws.
