Abstract

This article describes the natural geographical conditions of Surkhandarya region and their importance in forming toponyms. In particular, special attention is paid to the place names formed depending on the geological structure, climate, soil cover, water resources, relief, vegetation and distribution areas of representatives of the animal world of Surkhondarya region.
