Abstract

This study examines the role of international investments in the economic transformation of Uzbekistan from 1991 to 2023. It focuses on the influx of foreign direct investment (FDI), the implementation of economic reforms, and the evolution of the investment climate. Using data from international financial institutions and Uzbekistan's governmental reports, the paper evaluates the impacts of these investments on strategic sectors and the broader economy, discusses the challenges encountered, and suggests forward-looking strategies.
