Abstract

This thesis examines the impact of tourism on the economic development of local communities with an emphasis on job creation in small business development and income generation. Tourism is an important driver of economic growth, contributing to economic diversification, improving infrastructure, and improving the standard of living of the local population. In my thesis, I review existing literature and theoretical models, as well as analyze specific examples of the successful integration of tourism into the economies of countries. Research methods include theoretical analysis of existing data and conclusions drawn by me and from all the information provided. For example, countries such as Macao, and Maldives will be taken here. Examples of cases will examine how the country was affected and the statistics of the gross product and economic development of these countries will be examined by year.
