Digital Technologies and Modern Education

Abstract

 This article highlights the role of modern technologies in human life today. Digital technologies are penetrating many areas of society, and education is no exception. The aim of this article is to analyze the opportunities of digital technologies and examine the priority directions for the development of the educational process, their advantages, and threats. The article also analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of e-learning and demonstrates the forms of digitalization that require a comprehensive approach, setting new goals for the education system and altering its structure and content. The author has formulated a hypothesis on the necessity of scientifically-based implementation of these technologies in higher and vocational education institutions.
