Abstract

Preeclampsia (PE) is a complication of pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period,
characterized by blood pressure greater than 140/90 mmHg. Art. after the 20th week of pregnancy,
the appearance of protein in the urine (proteinuria) and other signs indicating deterioration of the
kidneys and cardiovascular system.
