Abstract

The liver is wedge-shaped, red-brown in color and soft in consistency. It distinguishes: the upper or diaphragmatic surface, the lower or visceral, the sharp lower edge (separates the upper and lower surfaces in front), and the slightly convex posterior part of the diaphragmatic surface. On the lower edge there is a notch of the round ligament and to the right a notch of the gallbladder.
